About

Compassion and Curiosity

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice; I work with clients based in Maryland and in Washington, D.C. via telehealth. I have a deep conviction in every person's innate ability to uncover and connect with their resilience and strengths - to build a life of deeper meaning - and I believe that we can best do so in optimal conditions of felt safety and relational support. I have worked with young adults and adults across the lifespan in higher education, counseling center, and inpatient settings. In addition to my work as a therapist and educator, I love sharing and learning with others as a consultant and presenter in subjects including trauma-informed therapy and teaching; human-animal interaction; multicultural transformation and social justice; disability; D/deaf and hard of hearing people and communities; mental health; and a number of other areas. I am bilingual in American Sign Language (ASL) and English, and comfortably offer therapy, education, and consulting in either language. My training, research, and clinical experience includes the study, teaching, and application of evidence-based psychotherapy practices. I integrate these with complementary modalities and techniques including the mind-body approaches of relational, body-based, and mindfulness-based therapies, and Somatic Experiencing® for trauma resolution.
